Cheryl Strand has a degree in Philosophy and is an accredited Thinking Partner and Facilitator of The Thinking Environment. She has studied through the Presencing Institute’s U.Lab, hosts a Spiritual Ecology Hub, and is involved in a Facilitator Development Programme with the Work That Reconnects. In the late 1980s she co-founded an interracial community in a poor neighbourhood where she lived and worked for a while. More recently she has co-managed a specialist Africana bookshop and been a stay-at-home mom. She lives in Cape Town with her husband, teenage son, and Toto, a Cairn Terrier. She enjoys walking and painting and belongs to a tradition that practices meditation, prayer, and dreamwork.
